Really? Really? Hoping so…

A dusting of mustard-yellow pollen coasts my in-need-of-a-bath truck. Lime-green shoots jut off of creek-side blackberry bushes. Papery white trillium flowers crane their necks from the forest floor. And blue jays, ducks and chickadees sing out in chorus. Spring, I think — hope — has finally arrived. Although a powdered sugar-like coating frosted bent grass stalks during my morning walk. Spring’s here. And, it feels, she’s finally yawning and stretching into life.
