The scent of cedar

hung heavy in the air when I recently visited the Cathlapotle Plankhouse, at the Ridgefield Wildlife Rescue in Ridgefield, Wash. It opens, complete with docent-led tours and a “what if” talk about the Lewis and Clark expedition, on Sunday. My story in the Columbian here.

Many irons in the fire at the moment. Will be uber busy over the few weeks, although I’ll take some Michael Franti time next week — woo hoo! I’m thinking camping sometime in April. Along the coast. Maybe Cape Lookout.

And now to crank up Franti, “Sometimes:”
