Valentines in February

Talked with the EEOC investigator who has been assigned my case. She’s got nine cases ahead of mine and expects to have some status news in February.

While she can’t give legal advice and is an investigative neutral party, she wasn’t surprised to hear that my employer, its attorneys and its insurance carrier are trying to box in my EEOC claim with a relentless stream of ever-changing Workers’ Compensation settlement addendums.

Which I’ll continue to reject.

Does the Record Searchlight and company think I’ve gone stupid (stress, depression and anxiety from workplace misdeeds and chaos doesn’t equate to stupidity) — or do they figure they’ve starved me long enough (10 months and counting) so that I’ll  jump at any offer, strings be damned, after surviving on $324 a week for 10 months? I’m Miss Thrifty now. And I can be for as long as it takes.
